So you’re thinking about purchasing a swimsuit from our new collection but you’re hesitating because the weather is crap right now and you know we only have a small window of opportunity for the magic known as ’summer’ here in Vancouver.
Let me make the decision making process a little easier on you and suggest a few places to take your new swimsuit:
10.) Vegas – No brainer. Short flights, free booze (ladies only) and no hotel required depending on how hard you like to party. But do remember one thing: Rehab is for quitters.

9.) Anywhere Mexico – Your swimsuit will thank you for the white sands and azure waters it will be immersed in. Just be careful where and what you drink and eat outside the all inclusives – travelers diarrhea can spell disaster in a teeny bikini.

8.) Robert Lee YMCA, Downtown – unlimited access to hot tub, steam and the pool for $53/month, not to mention their brand new gym. This is bordering the West End so don’t show up in last years faded and yellowing swimsuit or you will be judged – just trust me.
7.) Scandanive Spa, Whistler – this backyard getaway is open all year round for maximum usage of your sexy swimsuit! Hit the Finnish wood-burning sauna, eucalyptus steam bath and hot baths, thermal and Nordic waterfalls, solariums or relaxation areas with outdoor fireplace – Swimsuits are Mandatory here, not like the real European spas.

6.) Harry’s Rooftop Patio, Yaletown – complete with hot tub, outdoor fireplace, foosball, hookah bar, BBQ, flat screen TV and cooling water misters, this is definitely a gem in the heart of downtown which must be explored.
5.) Pan Pacific Pool & Patio, Coal Harbour – those who know, go – directly to this paradise when the sun does show its shy face. Poolside service for food and drink is worth the $8 service fee and 18% included gratuity.

4.) Grassy Knoll, Kits Beach – hate sand in your every crevice? Then move to the grassy knoll where the cool kids are at. Its dog friendly and if you’re lucky, you may even catch a cheer-leading team or two practicing their lifts, throws and formations.

3.) Harrison Hot Springs – less than 2 hours outside of Vancouver, this is another great year round destination to take your friend Mr. Swimsuit on a weekend road trip.
2.) Polar Bear Swim, English Bay – This takes place on New Year’s Day of every year and god only knows who is crazy enough to participate in this. I’ve never witnessed this event personally as 1.) I don’t like the cold and especially not jumping into near freezing water and 2.) I’m usually just going to bed from the celebration the night before. But if you are crazy enough to try this, you might as well look good instead of crazy like these people:

1.) And the #1 Swimsuit Destination Is…… Ironically enough, its a place where swimsuits aren’t needed at all – Wreck Beach.
One of the finest beaches in Vancouver with the best sand and clearest water, Wreck Beach is notorious for being a nude beach. Besides the obvious people watching, there are all kinds of other cool things going on down here. There are a collection of entrepreneurial types that will come by offering you such goods as homemade empanadas, fresh fruit, ice cream, drinks, and a few illicit options as well. Often there will be free beats courtesy of a drumming circle so no need to charge up the ipod. If you don’t mind a couple hundred flights of stairs and the odd random perv with a tele-photo lens attached to a high power camera – this is definitely a great place to check out.
